The Metropolitan Police said today that its main working hypothesis is that the 35-year-old attacker had 'gone into the Thames'.

A police boat circled between Vauxhall and Chelsea bridges on Saturday morning Specialist police divers have begun searching an area of the River Thames for the body of Clapham chemical attack suspect Abdul Ezedi. It comes after detectives revealed it is now believed he may have gone into the water after being seen on CCTV leaning over the railings of Chelsea Bridge in west London.

He said it was possible they may never find Ezedi’s body due to the speed of the current in the Thames. Our map and full timeline below show Ezedi’s known movements since the attack.
