BREAKING: Mandatory evacuation order to go into effect at 8 p.m. in Orange County's Bond Fire burn area amid storm
The mandatory evacuation will be for residents living in the Silverado, Williams and Modjeska canyon areas due to fears of possible debris flows near the burn scar area.
Modjeska Canyon resident Marcus Lynch said earlier this month a 65-foot Magnolia tree fell onto his home. "I couldn't start and I haven't started and I don't know when I'm going to be able to start," he said ahead of the incoming storm.Joggers went for a run near the Ventura Pier on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021, as another major rainstorm headed toward Southern California.
"Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations," according to the NWS."Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Flash flooding and debris flows are possible, especially near recent burn scars."
