Man United have ambitions to strengthen their squad in a handful of areas in 2024.

Manchester United are said to be 'keeping tabs' on Lyon attacking-midfielder Rayan Cherki ahead of a potential move for him next year.

Cherki, who is also said to be generating interest from Newcastle United, is under contact at Lyon until June 2025. As well as playing as an attacking-midfielder he can also operate as a winger, fulfilling the duty on either flank.

The 19-year-old, who is a defensive-midfielder, is one of the most highly-rated youngsters in Europe, earning regular plaudits. Despite his young age, he has already cemented himself as a key player at Benfica.
