The manager of Rose & Grants cafe in Glasgow is leading a fundraising campaign to save the beloved spot after the current owners announced they can no longer continue. The manager, Heather, hopes to raise £15,000 to keep the cafe open for her team and loyal customers.
The manager behind the fundraiser bidding to save a hugely popular cafe known for its famous vegan square sausage, has revealed the reasons why she wants to take over. Senior staff are trying to keep the cafe going after they revealed the current owners of city centre spot Rose & Grants "can't continue".
Posting about the crowdfunder launch, which you can view on the website, Heather revealed the reason why she hopes to take over in an open later, revealing she is hoping to save the cafe for her team and its customers, she said: "I have lived out of mainland Scotland for 5 years and Glasgow for 10. There's no other place like it. Glasgow is magic. I'm freezing here and I am not going to run off to Australia, because I'd miss the patter too much.
"There is a live Crowd Funder that I doubt will reach its target. I cannot say how moved I am with your support for me. The odds are very high that your donation will be returned to you but if you would like to make one regardless, there's a special place in my heart for you.
