He said nobody had made him Christmas dinner
A poultry catcher attacked a policeman who was called to his family home after an argument over Christmas. Martin Taylor, 24, was living at Hadfield Walk, Oak Tree, an area of Mansfield, when the incident kicked off on Boxing Day.
But his mum said she would talk to him later and went to bed, Nottingham Magistrates' Court heard on Wednesday . She was woken by Taylor shouting, saying, "I know you are awake. My Christmas has been ruined because of you". She called police at 1pm after her son damaged glass in a door. He then grabbed one officer, pushed him to the floor and punched him in the face, causing mild swelling. Treve Lander, mitigating, said the defendant had lived with his mother and father all his life in Mansfield.
