Archie Edmond, 69, and Ian Berwick, 67, had been best friends for 37 years.
The heartbroken friend of a man who recently died outside Hampden Stadium has told how his pal "saved his life".
Archie explained that without his best pal Ian, he would not be alive today. After dealing with alcohol problems for a number of years and losing both of his ex-partners to cancer, Ian was always a 'constant' in Archie's life, Edinburgh Live reports. "I was at my worst with my drinking in 2004 and Ian would always try and help me. I met him at work whilst I was at Scottish Equitable at St Andrew Square. I started working there in 1986 and that's where we built a connection and started doing everything together.
