Man United are not willing to entertain offers for Andre Onana this summer with the goalkeeper one of just four players off limits in the summer transfer window
In the space of less than 12 months, Andre Onana has gone from being a Champions League runner-up to a goalkeeper who could be playing in the Europa League for the first time in four years next season.
Onana is among the quartet who have been deemed untouchable by United, along with youngsters Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund. It means United could consider an offer for Marcus Rashford if a lucrative one comes along, but they would prefer to keep him and try and get his career back on track after a difficult season.
Such is his level of importance, United's decision not to place him in the same group as Onana, Mainoo, Garnacho and Hojlund is surprising. He is just 29, never misses a game, always gives 100 per cent and often drags United out of uncomfortable situations. Erik ten Hag, of course, pinpointed Onana as David de Gea's perfect successor last summer because of his quality in possession. The Dutchman wanted a goalkeeper who is excellent with his feet and Onana has provided that.
