A major emergency response scrambled to Aitken Street on Sunday evening where a 60-year-old man was found injured after being 'stabbed' in a serious assault.
A 60-year-old man 'stabbed' during a violent attack in Airdrie was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
We previously reported that a major emergency response scrambled to Aitken Street in the Lanarkshire town on Sunday, March 31. A large police and ambulance presence were at the scene. Police have confirmed they responded to a serious assault at around 6pm on Sunday, where a man was found injured after having been 'stabbed'.

"The man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries. He has since been discharged and enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
