Man shot in downtown Oakland
The man told police he was walking to a friend’s home when he heard gunfire, felt pain in his abdomen and saw he was bleeding. He made it to the friend’s home where police and medical personnel were called.
A man was seen running from the area after the shooting. Police are trying to determine a motive for the shooting and if the wounded man was the intended target. No arrests have been made. Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $5,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the shooter.
