A man was in critical condition after being shot during a robbery near Koreatown, with two suspects stealing a watch and three gold chains, Los Angeles police said Saturday.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting about 4:15 p.m. Friday in the 2800 block of Sunset Place, where they found the gunshot victim, LAPD Officer Hector Guzman said. The weapon allegedly used in the shooting was a semiautomatic handgun, Guzman said.AdvertisementRobberies in L.A. are up 11.7% compared with the same time a year earlier, according to crime statistics covering the period through Nov. 12.
