A man was shot multiple times Monday morning in Oakland’s Maxwell Park area.
OAKLAND — A 21-year-old man was shot multiple times early Monday in the Maxwell Park area, authorities said.
He was in stable condition at a hospital recovering from at least two gunshot wounds, authorities said. The shooting happened about 1:42 a.m. Monday in the 4700 block of Fleming Avenue, a mainly residential area. Numerous shots were fired, causing a gunshot detection system to activate. Despite his wounds, the man was able to make it to the 5500 block of Fleming Avenue where police and paramedics were called.
