Daily News | Man shot by security officer near Philly’s federal courthouse charged with attempted murder
Tuesday morning has been charged with attempted murder of a federal officer.
Lombardo allegedly exited the vehicle with a large kitchen knife in his right hand and made his way toward the officer, coming around the front of the car.In a news conference after the incident Tuesday, federal law enforcement officials said the suspect ignored multiple orders to drop his weapon. As Lombardo was being handcuffed, he told law enforcement to let him bleed out, per the criminal complaint. He was transported to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital for surgery where he remained Wednesday, according to a U.S. Attorney’s Office spokesperson.
