A man named Dhruv Kolhatkar sent offensive and obscene messages to a woman he had a crush on in high school. The woman discovered the messages after two-and-a-half years and was shocked by their content.
Dhruv Kolhatkar left his former schoolmate “alarmed and shocked” when she discovered the vile messages sent to her on social media.
Kolhatkar appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday and admitted sending a message which was grossly offensive, indecent, obscene or menacing in character. Fiscal depute Emma Laing told the court that Kolhatkar had an “interest” in the woman during their school days but the “feeling was not mutual”.
Ms Laing said the woman checked her Facebook page for the last mention of Kolhatkar she’d seen and found it was from July 7 2020.
