Commerce City police say the chain stopped a bullet.
COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — The man who narrowly escaped deathhe was wearing around his neck was shot by his father, according to court documents obtained by 9NEWS.
The neighbor reported that the victim's mother came to his home and asked him to call 911 because her ex-husband was threatening their son with a gun.He said he could hear the suspect, later identified as Richard Hillman, yelling at the victim and saw that he had a gun. He said he yelled for Hillman to put the gun down and heard two gunshots.
