A man and a woman who were also found inside the house were taken to the hospital for medical evaluations, according to Denton police.Authorities on Wednesday found a deceased man, along with a man and a woman, inside of a Denton home, police said.
In a news release, police described the house as having “significant health hazards,” and that investigators believe that the man had been dead for a “significant time.” The two others who were found inside the home, neither of whom have been identified, were taken to the hospital for medical evaluations, according to police.In November, the Social Security Administration Office of the Inspector General contacted the Denton Police Department and requested a welfare check for a 103-year-old man listed as living at a home in the 1500 block of block of Wellington Drive, police said.
Officers did not find the man at the location, police said. Authorities started investigating whether or not an elderly or disabled person was being exploited and got a search warrant for the property, according to police. During their search of the home, officers found the body of a man whom investigators believe is the same person that the Social Security Administration was looking for, according to the release..
