Police confirm a man was found dead below the motorway bridge on the approach to Perth.
A statement from Police Scotland suggests the body which was discovered on Tuesday is that of Michael Hare, a missing person from Bathgate that officers had been searching for.
“Around 11.10am on Tuesday, October 31, the body of a man was discovered near to the Friarton Bridge, Perth,” said a spokesperson for Police Scotland. “Although formal identification has yet to take place, the family of Michael Hare who is missing from Bathgate have been informed. “There would appear to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
