A man-made barrier has stopped lava from engulfing a fishing town in Iceland after a volcano erupted for the fourth time since December.
A few residents who had returned home following the last eruption were evacuated again on Saturday when a state of emergency was declared, public broadcaster RUV reported. Authorities were also monitoring lava flowing towards the peninsula's Svartsengi geothermal power plant, the met office added.
