Video sent to The ECHO showed a man being led away from Betfred by five police officers

Merseyside Police were called to Whitechapel in Liverpool City Centre just before 4.15pm on Wednesday, November 1 following an incident. It was reported to police a man had damaged several items inside Betfred.

Merseyside Police has now confirmed a man in his 30s was detained at the shop. There were no reports of injuries following the incident.
