Alderton was jailed for the murder of Gary and Joshua Dunmore today A man who shot dead a father and son in a gun rampage has been sent to jail for life. Stephen Alderton, 67, has been sentenced at Cambridge Crown Court to life in prison with a minimum term of 25 years for the murders of Gary and Joshua Dunmore.
Prosecutor Stephen Gair told Cambridge Crown Court that he told the police ‘sometimes you have to do what you have to do even if it’s wrong in the eyes of the law’. The murders came two days after a family court hearing, Mr Gair said. The defendant’s daughter, Samantha Stephen, née Alderton, had previously been in a relationship with Joshua Dunmore. Got a story?
