A man was injured in a shooting Wednesday morning in an East Oakland neighborhood, authorities said.
At 10:52 a.m., police responded to reports of a possible shooting in the 1400 block of 79th Avenue in the city’s Arroyo Viejo neighborhood.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his face. First responders provided care and took the man to a hospital, where he was later listed in critical condition. Investigators did not announce any arrests, share any suspect or vehicle information or any possible motives.
