Two men late Tuesday were smoking on a porch near Third Ward when someone drove by a shot at them, hitting one, police said.
Officers around 10 p.m. responded to the shooting in the 3400 block of Dennis Street and took a man to the hospital with minor injuries, Lt. Ronnie Willkens, of the Houston Police Department, told On Scene reporters.The men told investigators they were smoking on a front porch when someone drove and began firing, Willkens said. The two men ducked down, but one was shot during the gunfire. The vehicle sped off, but the victims said they never got a good look at the alleged shooter.
