Police are appealing for information after a man was "assaulted with a hammer" in Belfast. The incident occurred at the Lord Street area of East Belfast on Friday, July 1 shortly before 12pm.
He was taken to hospital for injuries to his head and jaw following the incident. A man has been arrested on suspicion of a number of offences.Detective Sergeant McCartan said: “Shortly before 12pm, it was reported that a man in his 30s was assaulted by two men at the junction with the Beersbridge Road with a hammer. He was taken to hospital for injuries to his head and jaw following the incident.
