Photo/ShutterstockA man was taken into custody in connection with a deadly Oak Forest stabbing after a lengthy standoff in Tinley Park on Saturday afternoon, police said.
At about 10:14 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to the 5300 block of Diamond Drive for a domestic disturbance, Oak Forest police said. Upon arrival, police found 30-year-old Lauren Pikor, of the same block, in the roadway. She appeared to have sustained fatal lacerations and stab wounds, and was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.
On Saturday, Oak Forest police requested help from Tinley Park police in executing a search warrant, in relation to Pikor's death, at a home in the 18200 block of Glen Swilly Circle. That's when a lengthy standoff ensued, and police eventually took a man into custody, officials said. The suspect has not yet been charged.Copyright © 2023 WLS-TV. All Rights Reserved.
