Gin Close Way was closed both ways for a number of hours
A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after being hit by a lorry in a Nottinghamshire village. The incident took place on Wednesday Morning , shortly before 4.30am.
Emergency services were at the scene while the road was closed until 6.50am. The man's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, however, officers are appealing for anyone who saw what happened to get in touch. Inspector Lisa Schooling, Nottinghamshire Police spokesperson, said: "A male pedestrian was taken to hospital after he was hit by a lorry in Gin Close Way, Awsworth, shortly before 4.30am today . The man’s injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening."The road was closed in both directions between the A6096 Giltbrook and Shilo Way roundabouts while emergency services attended the scene. The road was reopened by 6.50am.
