Man hid from police on roof after cannabis farm with 200 plants was raided
In a bid to flee from cops, one man decided to hide on the roof after being snared for his involvement in maintaining a cannabis farm.
Mr Hopkins said: “He noticed what he thought was a cannabis installation at the property and called the police. He thought someone was inside.” When interviewed by police, the 32-year-old denied being involved and said he had come to the UK via a boat across the channel in September last year, in the hope of gaining better economic opportunities. Lika said he paid 5000 euros for that trip, but apart from those limited facts, Mr Hopkins said “the Crown frankly knows nothing else about this defendant”.
“He simply wishes to receive his sentence with grace and understands he must be punished for this kind of offending.”
