No suspects were named and no arrests were made as of Thursday evening, investigators said.
A Shot Spotter activation around 1:30 p.m. alerted officers to the 800 block of Carteret Avenue and when they arrived, they found a white Mercedes SUV that had been struck by numerous bullets, police said.
A man, who was not identified Thursday evening, was found dead in the driver’s seat of the SUV, the office said.No arrests were made as of Thursday evening as the shooting remained under investigation.
