A man was fatally injured in a stabbing Wednesday after exiting a Metrobus in the Wheaton area, Montgomery County police said.
Witnesses told police that the attack, which was reported at 12:25 p.m., was preceded by two men arguing on the bus. When both exited near University Boulevard West and Amherst Avenue, one man stabbed the other and ran away, according to Montgomery County police spokeswoman Shiera D. Goff.Because the attack occurred off the bus, Metro Transit Police are not involved, and Montgomery County police are taking the lead in the investigation.
