The man allegedly approached plain clothes officers while they were making an unrelated arrest in the area.
A man was shot and killed by San Francisco Police Department officers in the Bayview area on Wednesday afternoon.
Bystander video from the scene showed the man wandering in the intersection while several police officers ordered him to drop his firearm. At one point in the video, the man appears to raise his arm toward the officers, prompting them to open fire.
