The 34-year-old's first name has dramatically plummeted in popularity in recent years
A man insists that he doesn't care if his name goes extinct as he still thinks it's 'cool'. Graeme Currie, 34, says he is proud of his name despite it being endangered, reports the Daily Star.
However, despite the lack of appeal of parents, Graeme believes more children should be given the name. He said: "I think more people should be named Graeme. "I think it's always good to encourage the older names like Graeme, Guy and Greg." Graeme admits he has noticed there are less babies with his name nowadays."To be honest, I guess society is moving on in a way. I think names are a good thing that show a part of history.
Graeme added: "I believe the name Graeme sets you on a good path. I feel the same with a lot of older names, it sets you out in a certain way.
