A man died after he was swept away by flood waters late Sunday night, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.
According to officials, the man was camped out under a bridge near U.S. 281 and Bitters Road during a thunderstorm that led to flash flooding in the area. At some point during the storm, the man was washed away from under the bridge. The man was later found near the intersection of Wurzbach Parkway and Jones Maltsberger, where San Antonio firefighters performed a water rescue, officials said.
