He was driving with a suspended license when the head-on collision occurred in Lancaster County, police said.
A Lancaster County man was driving with a suspended license last week when he caused a head-on collision that killed a horse and seriously injured its buggy driver, police said.
Moore, who lives in the township, ran away from the scene without calling 911, state police said in an affidavit of probable cause. The seriously-injured buggy driver had blood all over his face and told troopers he’d lost consciousness during the crash, according to the affidavit. He was rushed to Lancaster General Hospital to get treatment for a dislocated hip, as well as cuts to his head, face and legs.
A witness told troopers Moore urged them not call the police before he ran away, according to the affidavit.
