The Collin County District Attorney’s office announced Tuesday that Brandon Dale, 43, was found guilty of capital murder in the death of Salah Rashad Eid. A Collin County grand jury“Dale's conviction was only possible due to the relentless and meticulous efforts of multiple law enforcement agencies. The victim was a generous and respected member of our community, and the brutal nature of his death highlights Brandon Dale’s greed and violence.
Security footage from a neighbor showed three individuals entering Eid’s home just before midnight June 4, 2021, according to the release. Around the time of the welfare check, an off-duty Dallas police officer saw Shoppa abandoning a truck, later identified as Eid’s, in a Dallas parking lot. Investigators were able to use cell phone location data to confirm that the three suspects were in Eid’s home and that Eid’s phone was at a storage unit belonging to Dale just two hours after the murder.
