Kevin De Bruyne looks set to miss Manchester City's FA Cup quarter-final with Newcastle after being left out of the Belgium squad for the following international break.
Kevin De Bruyne has been suffering with a groin injury while playing for Manchester City recently, his Belgium manager has confirmed.
He recently suffered a setback, but not a repeat of the hamstring that kept him out for so long, but has started three of the last four games. De Bruyne was left as an unused substitute against Brentford last month when Pep Guardiola confirmed he had some 'niggles' in his other hamstring, before he returned to the starting line up at Luton to provide four assists for Erling Haaland.
"I don't know if there is a connection with his hamstring injury. It is now a problem with the groin that he has been struggling with in recent matches," Tedesco said. "It's better to give him time to recover well at City and then have him ready for the European Championship. We can't take any risks now, especially not with Kevin.”
