Manchester City are still finding the best way to play without Kevin De Bruyne, and Pep Guardiola seemed to settle on his best system last week vs Manchester United.

Erling Haaland took the plaudits as Manchester City dismantled Manchester United last weekend, and Bernardo Silva took the Man of the Match award.

United's spiral into full-blown crisis this week has been impressive even by their standards, and it has overshadowed a few aspects of City's brilliant performance. Rodri won't complain, he won the penalties, and City scored the goal that wouldn't have happened without him. His clipped assist for Cole Palmer in the Super Cup, layoff for Haaland at Young Boys, and cutback at Burnley are more conventional assists.
