The horrific discovery happened on Saturday in Thomaston, Georgia, a small town about 60 miles south of Atlanta.
Freddrick Durham was arrested for murdering his girlfriend and hiding her body in a large suitcase A man in Georgia was arrested after the body of his girlfriend was found stuffed in a suitcase in their apartment. Concerned family members reported Margaret Dubignon missing on Friday, October 20 after she disappeared the day before. Police arrived at the apartment she shared with her boyfriend, Fredderick Durham, to conduct a welfare check, but they couldn’t find either person or Dubignon’s car.
Durham is currently being held at the Upson County Jail without bond. The Thomaston Police Department thanked the numerous agencies across Georgia who helped quickly track the suspected killer down. They also thanked Dubignon’s family for their help in the investigation. ‘This was a horrific crime and an extremely painful event, yet the family, in spite of their emotions, were incredibly composed, supportive and cooperative throughout todays investigation,’ the department said in a statement.
