Alan Perez, 25, was charged with first-degree murder Friday stemming from fatally stabbing a man in the neck during a road rage altercation in River North.
“This was a senseless act of violence, a needless traffic argument turned deadly,” Police Superintendent David Brown said during a Friday afternoon press conference alongside Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx.
Walker was able to get back into his car and drive to Michigan Avenue, where he approached police and was taken to Northwestern Hospital. He later died there of his injuries.
