A man has been arrested in connection with the death of Alastair Campbell. Officers are currently treating the 52 year-old's death as a murder as enquiries continue.
Alastair Campbell, 52, was found dead on Renfield Street at around 3am on Monday, October 30. Emergency services raced to the scene following reports that a man had been found injured in a common close.READ MORE: Man found dead in Glasgow property as emergency services scramble to sceneOfficers have said that Alastair was seriously assaulted by two men on Renfield Street at the junction of Wilson Street at around 1am on October 30.
The men are described as both being white, with one wearing a dark tracksuit and dark trainers, and the other a light grey or khaki jacket with dark trousers and dark trainers.It has now been confirmed that a 47 year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death and enquiries remain ongoing.
