The crash occurred on Sept. 3 just after 8 p.m., on Hainesport Road in Mount Laurel, in the area of the Cucina Carini restaurant, according to a statement from the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office. The restaurant owner, Glenn Keen, was pulling out of the parking lot when he was struck by a car being driven by 45-year-old Marlton resident Desmond Newberry that was traveling west on the road, the office said. Keen, who was pulled from his burning vehicle by civilians prior to the arrival of police, was airlifted to Temple University Hospital, where he later died.
