Shane was discovered in Lord Lurgan Park on the evening of Thursday, January, 12. Following a post mortem examination it was confirmed that he died from gunshot wounds.A PSNI spokesperson said: "Major Investigation Team Detectives investigating the murder of 39-year-old Shane Whitla in Lurgan on Thursday, January 12, have charged a 25-year-old man with murder.
Earlier on Thursday, police were granted an extension of 27 hours for the further detention of a 28-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday.
