A huge cordon remains in place in Manchester this morning
Emergency services were called to the scene on Moss Lane East by the victim's friend at around 10pm last night . Officers believe there had been a 'disturbance' between the two friends and two other men.
A hunt is now underway to track them down with 'additional resources deployed'. No arrests have been made yet.This morning, a large cordon remains in place on a stretch of the road with two forensic tents within the cordon. Evidence markers have been placed on the road by crime scene investigators. "I understand people will be concerned when they hear the news of what has happened, but I would like to reassure them that we do not believe this was a random attack and we have a number of additional resources deployed to identify those responsible. We are appealing for the public’s help and are asking for any witnesses to come forward.
