A 20-year-old man has been left seriously injured after being stabbed during a 'large fight' in Stockport. The violent scenes erupted on Alvanley Crescent at around 4.30pm.
Police and paramedics descended on the residential street in Bridgehall with a cordon erected on a grassed area as the victim was rushed to hospital from the scene.Greater Manchester Police have now confirmed the 20-year-old sustained stab injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening. Officers had been called to the scene amid reports of a 'large fight'.
“When they started fighting I came out and brought be kids inside. It was enough. I didn’t want to look. It’s horrible. We have children lots of people do around here. And they are often playing out there. So it is scary." Inspector Stuart McConnell of GMP’s Stockport district, said “This is a really sickening attack which has left a man with serious injuries in hospital.
