The highly anticipated Malibu Farm restaurant anchoring Seaport Village is now open following a $7.5 million renovation that gutted the two-story, former Harbor House building to promote, with ample windows and bifold doors, its proximity to San Diego Bay.
The local menu features clean, simple items, with locally sourced ingredients where possible and dishes similar to those offered at other Malibu Farm eateries. The San Diego destination, said to be the couple’s largest investment to date, borrows from and builds on the company’s experience on the Malibu pier, where customers travel from across the Los Angeles region to sit outside — even in the winter months. The two-story venue features walls with bifold doors that completely open up, as well as glass windscreens and overhead heaters on decks and patios, to let guests enjoy the outdoors and expansive views, whether seated inside or out.
