Malaysia May Join New Zealand in a 'Generational Endgame' for Tobacco
Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin presented the Tobacco and Smoking Control Bill 2022 for a first reading in parliament on Wednesday. New Zealand on Tuesday put forth a similar bill to outlaw the sale of tobacco products to anyone born from 2009 onwards. Khairy mentioned the move in a tweet referencing his Generational Endgame initiative that’s focused on curbing tobacco use, saying: “The Generational Endgame is starting.”
