The bridge plans are the latest stage of waterfront developments
A new bridge could be installed to connect Liverpool’s historic dry docks and its iconic museums on the city’s waterfront.
A planning application has been submitted to Liverpool Council for the construction of a new footbridge as well as improvements to lighting and installation of a new contemplation space.READ MORE: Boy, 16, charged with indecent exposure after multiple incidents “Photogrammetry of the vessel is underway, and the vessel will then be dismantled and recycled by a qualified and experienced company, following a deconstruction plan commissioned by G&W Marine, naval architects.” The museum hopes by installing the new bridge to connect with the wider dock, it can open up Liverpool’s history even more.
“The two Dry Docks at Canning Dock are the oldest visible part of the whole Liverpool Docks. Through this project, the stories of Canning Dock’s role in the development of the city and much of the modern world can be better told.”
