Police were called to land off Highgate Lane in the village of Plungar, which sits on the border of Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire, at around 3.30pm on Tuesday, November 7
Part of a village where a man's body was found remains cordoned off after a murder investigation was launched into the 'suspicious' death. .
Leicestershire Police say the man remains in police custody. As well as the cordon, which remains in place, officers from the Melton and Rutland Neighbourhood Policing Area will be carrying out reassurance patrols.Detective Inspector David Greenhalgh, of East Midlands Special Operations Unit , said: “Our investigation into this incident is very much in its early stages and a man has already been arrested as part of our initial enquiries.
