Crews are currently investigating the cause of the outage, which is believed to have been caused by a 'Telecomms fault', but disruption is expected until at least 7pm on Thursday. ScotRail, LNER and Cross Country trains have all been hit by the disruption. "Investigations are underway & we will provide a further update as soon as possible. Please check with your service provider for journey updates."
Scotrail added: "Due to a failure of the electricity supply at Edinburgh, our services will be subject to delay and alteration at this time. Investigations are underway and we will provide another update ASAP.
