The Material Girl, 65, who was hospitalised with a serious bacteria infection earlier this year, began the first of 78 shows across 15 countries at London's O2 Arena on Saturday (October 14).

In June this year, it was revealed that the singer, known around the world as the Queen of Pop, was in intensive care.
‘I forgot five days of my life… or my death, I don’t really know where I was. But the angels were protecting me and my children were there. And my children always save me, every time.’ The multi-Grammy Award winner continued, revealing what she felt was the reason why she survived. ‘If you want to know my secret, and you want to know how I pulled through and how I survived, I thought, “I’ve got to be there for my children. I have to survive for them,”’ she said.
