Macie Hill, who died in last year's Kaysville 4th of July parade, remembered & honored during this year's celebrations
KAYSVILLE, Utah — The annual Independence Day parade rolled through the town of Kaysville Tuesday morning.Becky Thatcher, who lives in Syracuse, came to the parade with her family to celebrate our country.
"You cannot take life for granted," said Thatcher."It's really very hard to know that just like that you can, you know, there's someone very, very special in your life."At the front of this year's parade, a banner could be seen with Macie's picture on it, leading the cars, people and eventually the floats down Kaysville's Main Street.
"It made me happy because I thought we can do something to show our love and support for them," said Ellen King, who participated in the parade."It felt like a way we could show support for that family in just a small way. It was just an honor to be part of it," said Jensen.
