Though the contestants in the NBA’s annual Dunk contest were allowed three attempts each, the judges – particularly Karl Malone – did not forget the misses, dropping Martin’s scores and eliminating him after his two dunks. He took the ball from someone standing under the basket and then double pumped before his over-the-head dunk on his way down, having climbed so high, his head was barely under the rim.Murphy offered a 360 to a hard spike of a dunk, an old school dunk contest jam that the judges appreciated, giving him a 49.2 that seemed to surprise the crowd.
