Man dies after being hit by lorry on M1 in LeicestershireA man has died after being hit by a lorry on the M1 in Leicestershire. The motorway was closed in both directions between junction 21a and 22 after the incident this morning (Friday, March 22). Leicestershire Police said the collision involved a pedestrian and an HGV on the southbound carriageway just before 3.20am. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. It was also reported that prior to the collision the man was on the bridge in Forest Road and Stoney Lane, Markfield.
